I am a 76 year old man who has just published a book called Senior Moments, How To Get The Most Our Of Your Golden Years. I spent over a year trying to get an agent or a publisher to look at my book. They took one look at my age and the fact that I cannot easily get around, and always were "not taking any new books at this time," or some other similar excuse.
After trying for months to get someone to just look at the manuscript, I gave up and published it myself. I published my book with www.OutskirtsPress.com, and they have provided me with a very attractive book.
I thought my days of adventure were over, but they are not. Publishing this book has become an exciting adventure, and I want to share it with others now.
When someone publishes a book themselves, it is up to them to do all of the promotion. This is difficult for me because I can not get around as easily as I would like. I listed the book on Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com.
The reason I a working with this blog is in hopes that others will read about the book and order it from Amazon.com or their local book store.
